Source, the joint venture between SSE and TotalEnergies delivering ultra-rapid EV charging hubs across the UK, has agreed a new roaming partnership with GreenFlux, part of the DKV Mobility Group and one of Europe’s longest-established EV charging software providers.

GreenFlux roaming network expands in the UK

The agreement means that Source’s growing network of ultra-rapid hubs in the UK will be added to GreenFlux’s roaming network, which consists of over 1.26 million charge points and more than 540 charge point operators (CPOs) across Europe. Customers of more than 100 eMobility service providers (eMSPs) on the platform, representing over 20 million tokens, will be able to charge at Source hubs.

Source plans to open 300 ultra-rapid charging hubs over the next five years, promising to make charging smarter, faster and truly customer centric. Hubs feature at least 150kW ultra-rapid chargers as standard, allowing drivers to ’charge and go’ in around 15 minutes based on industry accepted charging session data.

'We’re excited to support Source in its growth by exposing their chargers to a larger driver network and boosting utilisation rates.'

Source sites offer real-time availability updates, well-lit, secure surroundings, and contactless payment with no pre-authorisation required, all backed by round-the-clock support. Every hub is powered by renewable energy, drawing on SSE’s infrastructure and TotalEnergies’ technology.

For GreenFlux, adding Source’s ultra-rapid chargers to its roaming network further strengthens its presence in the UK, both now and in the years ahead. GreenFlux already has a strong customer base in the region, and continues to support the UK’s electrification efforts through its roaming and charge point management system (CPMS) offering.

'Every network we connect to is a chance for more drivers to discover Source for the first time. Being part of GreenFlux’s roaming network makes it easier for their drivers to find us here in the UK. Once they do, we want the experience to speak for itself - fast, reliable charging with real-time availability, in hubs that are easy to use from the very first visit,' said Alice Aprile-Smith, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Source.

Freerik Meeuwes, Director Sales & Operations at GreenFlux, added: 'Linking up with Source is an important step for us to further grow our network in an important and fast-growing EV charging market like the UK. Source has a strong and ambitious strategy that guarantees fast charging will only become more accessible to EV drivers in the coming years. That’s why we’re excited to support Source in its growth by exposing their chargers to a larger driver network and boosting utilisation rates.'
