Making sustainable mobility simple and compliant

Adherence to regulations and standards is a crucial aspect of doing business, and failing to comply can result in significant legal and financial consequences.

At GreenFlux, we take compliance seriously and ensure that all our solutions meet or exceed the relevant regulatory requirements. We offer a comprehensive range of e-mobility software solutions that are designed to help you meet your compliance obligations with the latest regulatory standards.

Standards and Protocols

Building and exceeding

We are proud to have helped shape many of the protocols that are now fundamental to eMobility. Today, we continue to improve the experience of EV drivers by pushing the boundaries of these very protocols.

Open Charge Point Protocol

To manage a large charging network with different types of hardware of your choice, accurate implementation of the OCPP standard is key. We support hardware control via the most commonly used versions 1.5 JSON and 1.6, and the newest 2.0.1 protocol. This ensures that you can meet your charging needs in the most secure and energy efficient way.

Open Charge Point Interface

OCPI enables centralised and accurate billing for drivers across a vast network of hundreds of thousands of chargers across Europe. In addition, the smart charging module gives drivers the flexibility to choose faster or slower charging, reducing the pressure on the network. As a strong supporter of this open standard, we are up to date with the latest version 2.2.1.

Market Regulations

Guiding you through

In a growth market like eMobility, new regulations are being developed almost every day. Fortunately, as forerunners we often know what to expect and are comfortable guiding you through it.

  • AFIR

The Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation, or AFIR, supports and reinforces our vision for a more transparent and user-friendly approach to EV charging. Read how we enable full compliance.

  • UK Public Charge Point Regulations 2023

The Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 (the regulations) ensure a consistent and positive experience for consumers using public charge points across the United Kingdom.

Eichrecht

German law incorporated

Mess- und Eichrecht is a critical aspect of compliance in the eMobility industry, and at GreenFlux, we take our commitment to regulatory compliance seriously. Our software facilitates the exchange of charge session data in a safe and transparent way, helping CPOs and eMSPs meet their legal obligations to provide drivers with charge session meter data.

Charging stations need an officially certified energy meter accurately measuring kWh energy consumption and visibly displaying this data to users.

Eichrecht-compliant charge sessions are limited to the following pricing models:

  • Price per kWh (€/kWh)
  • Starting fee + Price per kWh (€/kWh)
  • Price per kWh (€/kWh) + Parking fee
  • Starting fee + Price per kWh (€/kWh) + Parking fee

A calibrated charge station generates digitally signed meter values, ensuring they cannot be tampered with. Users can decrypt these values using "Transparency software" like S.A.F.E. to verify against their billed amounts.

ISO 15118

Plug&Charge enabled

GreenFlux's Plug&Charge feature utilizes the ISO 15118 protocol, enabling a fully automated charging process. Through collaboration with Hubject, the Plug&Charge functionality can be implemented by CPO customers following firmware updates to their charge stations. Once updated, EV drivers using these stations can seamlessly pay for charging sessions without relying on app-based payments, RFID, or credit cards.
