GreenFlux expands its roaming network in Czechia with CEZ

Amsterdam, February 29, 2024: GreenFlux, an e-mobility platform provider, expands its roaming network by 1,800 charge points managed by ČEZ, which operates the largest network of public charging stations in Czechia. The software provider, part of the DKV Mobility group, signed a roaming contract with ČEZ aiming to together accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility for all.

The EV charging network provided by ČEZ is located along the most important routes across Czechia and consists of 753 AC charge points, 935 DC charge points, and 52 HPC charge points.

This partnership enables EV drivers served by each of GreenFlux’s platform customers to seamlessly access 1,800 charge points in Czechia via their existing e-mobility apps and charge card services.

GreenFlux is a major player in the eMobility sector. We look forward to welcoming their customers to our rapidly growing network, which can currently supply green energy to the batteries of 1,300 electric vehicles at any time. Together, we will help eMobility achieve a breakthrough across Czechia and Europe. — Tomáš Dzurilla, director of e-mobility at ČEZ.

With this new contract, GreenFlux is fast expanding its roaming network, which now includes over 633,000 EV charge points across Europe (as of December 31, 2023) spread across Europe.

‘ČEZ is the driving force behind the development of the public charging infrastructure for eMobility in Czechia. We are proud to expand our roaming network with them. The ČEZ’s extensive charging network of AC, DC and HPC charge stations would certainly offer a smooth charging experience for drivers of our platform customers. Plus, together we will develop electromobility and empower sustainable mobility for all,’ said Suthalan Gnanes, Managing Director at GreenFlux.

In addition to roaming, GreenFlux’s platform customers leverage its white-label apps and APIs to monetise their unique business models and deliver outstanding charging experiences.

About GreenFlux

GreenFlux, part of the DKV Mobility Group, was founded in 2011 with a mission to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility. The eMobility platform provider empowers charge point operators (CPOs) and eMobility service providers (eMSPs) to manage operations at scale, optimise revenue, and offer seamless driver experiences. A pioneer in smart charging technology, GreenFlux has so far powered 4.2 billion electric kilometres and 730 million kWh via charging. Over the span of 12+ years, GreenFlux has served a diverse set of companies and eMobility business models, including the likes of EDP, Volvo, TotalEnergies, APCOA Parking, and Volvo Cars. GreenFlux’s roaming network of over 633,000 EV charge points (as of December 31, 2023) is spread across Europe and the UK.

About ČEZ

ČEZ has long maintained the highest share of charging points on Czechia market (currently around 40%). The company operates a total of 660 public charging stations throughout the Czechia. More than 80% of the ČEZ network currently features 50 kW charging points, but the share of ultra-fast stations is growing rapidly. Last year, drivers used more than 5.5 million kWh of emission-free energy from the network, and this year, the threshold of 7 million kWh is expected to be broken. The total installed capacity of the ČEZ network will reach 50 MW, which is, for example, the equivalent of a medium-sized hydroelectric power plant supplying emission-free electricity to households in a city of 80,000. Two cars can charge simultaneously at each station, so the network can supply green energy to the batteries of 1,300 electric vehicles at any time. The busiest stations in the network, with annual consumption in the tens of thousands of kWh, are in Prague, in the Central Bohemia Region, and on the main D1, D5, D10, and D11 motorways.
