GreenFlux partners with Milence to accelerate eTruck charging

Amsterdam, January 11, 2024: GreenFlux, the e-mobility platform provider, expands its roaming network to include charging points for heavy-duty vehicles. The software provider, part of the DKV Mobility group, signed a roaming contract with Milence, which specialises in operating charging points, to help accelerate the transition to zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles.

The new partnership enables EV drivers served by each of GreenFlux’s platform customers to seamlessly access the high-powered EV charging points with capacities of up to 400 kW operated by Milence.

Milence, established in July 2022, is a joint venture between Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP, and the Volvo Group. The company is committed to building and operating 1,700 high-performance public charging points in Europe by 2027, thereby setting the stage for a cleaner, more sustainable tomorrow.

The first truck-compatible EV charging location was recently opened in Venlo, the Netherlands. As per the new agreement, it’s now accessible to all GreenFlux platform customers. The next EV charging points will be available in other European countries in the first half of 2024.

‘This contract will be a key enabler for accelerating the transition to electric trucks. We are proud to partner with Milence and contribute towards developing Europe’s leading charging network for heavy-duty transport,' said Suthalan Gnanes, Managing Director at GreenFlux.

In addition, Milence plans a swift transition to megawatt charging capabilities as soon as they become available, paving the way for charging speeds of up to and above 1,000 kW. This means that long-haul trucks with battery packages of 600 kWh and driving ranges of about 500 kilometers can be fully charged in just 30-45 minutes as soon as the megawatt charging system (MCS) becomes available.

‘This collaboration represents a significant step forward in our mission to achieve fossil-free road transport by providing efficient and sustainable charging solutions for all electric trucks,' said Roel Vissers, Chief Commercial Officer at Milence.

'We are delighted to join forces with GreenFlux to provide a seamless charging experience for truck drivers across Europe in the future as we continue to expand our network.' — Roel Vissers, Chief Commercial Officer at Milence.

In addition to roaming, GreenFlux’s platform customers leverage its white-label apps and APIs to monetise their unique business models and deliver outstanding charging experiences.
