Case Study : 2018 – present

Seamless integration with an energy provider

Eneco eMobility is the daughter company of Eneco, and offers charging solutions for at home and at work. They want to help people and companies to switch seamlessly to electric driving. The Eneco Group is a group of companies that is active in the energy sector. They work with customers and partners on their “Everyone’s sustainable energy” mission, so that everybody can take control of their own energy. Eneco ensures the generation and supply of sustainable energy that comes from wind farms, heat, biomass, and the sun.

Challenge

Eneco used their own system and was looking for a third-party platform to cut costs and keep up with technological developments in the charging industry. They manage a charge network of around 5,000 chargers at home and semipublic locations. They also have 15,000 EV drivers that they support through their own services.

Solution

GreenFlux’s solution: Seamless integration with GreenFlux Enterprise Platform. Eneco selected the GreenFlux Service and Operation Portal Enterprise so they can have an autonomous EV Operator and Service Provider Portal integrated with API’s to their existing CRM and ERP systems. GreenFlux enabled Eneco to have access to our own roaming contracts: the existing connections of GreenFlux with various peer-to-peer parties, hubs and clearing houses. Eneco is completely free in connecting to any charge station of their choice, whether it is an AC or DC charger. Within the platform, they have the possibility to set up and manage a variety of functions, including product packages, configuring charge stations, and help desk.

Result

The result is a cost-efficient, state-of-the-art system that is under constant development. Using it enables Eneco to take advantage of new developments and software updates that we deploy based on the changing needs and regulations of the European and global EV charging market. Eneco operates as a charge point operator, a service provider, and does transaction handling. They use the full suite of the GreenFlux platform, the Enterprise Package, to do so. This allows Eneco to manage adding chargers and drivers, operations and technical management, as well as managing their own billing processes. Using the GreenFlux platform, Eneco operates and handles the transactions on all 5,000 of their charge points. Additionally, 15,000 EV drivers are using GreenFlux- powered Eneco charge cards, providing them full interoperability. Eneco performs around 100,000 transactions per month.

We are fully satisfied about the use of the GreenFlux platform. Data security and cybersecurity are central in the platform, ensuring safety for our customers.
