GreenFlux supplies the largest smart charging plaza in the Netherlands

Largest smart charging plaza at the Enexis head office

GreenFlux has supplied the largest smart charging plaza in the Netherlands for network company Enexis Groep. The 98 smart charging stations were built in the parking garage under the head office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This development is part of the company’s ambition to reduce the CO2 footprint in the area of mobility in a cost-neutral manner by 50%, more than five million kilos, by 2020. GreenFlux supplies the smart technology and the advanced digital platform to smart charging.

Ten times more charging capacity with smart charging

With smart charging, the charging network can handle a large number of charging sessions simultaneously, without overloading. This is important because the smart charging plaza uses the same power supply as the head office. With GreenFlux’s smart technology, ten times more charging points can be installed without additional investments in the network. This saves Enexis more than € 200,000 on the initial investment and many thousands of Euros on an annual basis. By using smart charging, the charging time is a lot faster for drivers. Employees in a hurry can also use the sixteen priority charge points in the garage. For the intelligent charging infrastructure, GreenFlux uses the so-called Open Smart Charging Protocol, the international standard for smart charging.

The charging plaza is part of INVADE, an ambitious project within the Horizon2020 program of the European Commission. The project focuses on research and innovation in the area of charging infrastructure.
