EDP and GreenFlux work together to provide new digital e-mobility services

GreenFlux welcomes its new customer EDP

EDP Comercial, a company of EDP Group, the world’s fourth-largest renewable energy producer, chooses GreenFlux to support the growth of its e-mobility services.

EDP Comercial serves e-mobility clients in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil and offers EMSP services to more than 50.000 EV drivers. Under the agreement, GreenFlux, provides a digital mobility platform to offer end-to-end electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management services to EDP. GreenFlux delivers APIs and functionalities for EDP to create an excellent user experience for its EV customers in Portugal and Spain.

A leader in value creation, innovation, and sustainability, EDP, was looking for a future-proof platform to expand its e-mobility network, enhance its customer services, improve smart grid capabilities, and help prepare future business cases. At present, EDP has contracted more than 3.500 charging points in Iberia and aims to have more than 7.000 in 2026.

‘At EDP, we are focused on creating a digital experience that supports EV drivers in their customer journey and makes charging simpler and more convenient depending on their needs, whether at home, at work, or on the public network. EDP Charge platform brings together all the experience and innovation that we bring to the e-mobility ecosystem, and it is in this context that the partnership with GreenFlux arises to guarantee new functionalities for residential and business customers, such as smart charging,’ said Gonçalo Castelo Branco, Head of Smart Mobility, EDP Comercial.

GreenFlux is the leading provider of EV charging software and smart charging technology. In addition to strengthening its relationship with EDP, the contract represents GreenFlux’s further expansion in the Portuguese and Spanish markets.

‘We are delighted to be offering the digital platform for EDP’s EV charging infrastructure requirements. EDP is among the major operators of electricity in Europe and a leader in innovation in the energy sector. We look forward to a long-term relationship with the utility,’ said Suthalan Gnanes, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer at GreenFlux. ‘EDP’s strategy and mission of sustainability and innovation are perfectly aligned with GreenFlux’s purpose of accelerating the energy transition towards sustainable mobility.
